*Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Felicitates the Tribal Alpine Expedition Team for Their Historic Achievement*
Raipur, / In a stirring display of courage and endurance, young climbers from Jashpur district have etched their names into Chhattisgarh’s adventure legacy by successfully ascending to 5,350 meters in the Duhangan Valley of Himachal Pradesh as part of the Tribal Alpine Expedition Himalaya 2025.
At the CM’s Camp Office in Baghia, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai felicitated the mountaineering team with certificates of appreciation, lauding their “discipline, determination, and indomitable will.” He said the achievement proved that “no goal is impossible when pursued with unwavering resolve, dedication, and self-belief.”
CM Shri Sai noted that the expedition would inspire a new wave of interest in adventure sports among the tribal youth of Jashpur and across the state. “Such initiatives cultivate confidence, leadership, and teamwork — values essential for a strong society,” he remarked.
The climbers’ journey, supported by the District Administration, Jashpur, began in September. Through intense trekking, rock climbing, and ice climbing under challenging Himalayan conditions, the team showcased both physical resilience and technical skill. Their success, officials said, symbolizes not just individual triumph but also the growing spirit of self-reliant exploration in Chhattisgarh’s tribal regions.
Expressing gratitude, the youth thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai for the government’s encouragement and logistical backing. They said the experience, their first encounter with the high Himalayas, strengthened their confidence and would motivate other young people from the district to pursue adventure sports.
Sharing their reflections, the climbers spoke of “learning patience, unity, and endurance in the face of freezing winds and steep ascents.” They credited the expedition for transforming local aspirations into a tangible achievement that carried the pride of the entire state.
The Tribal Himalayan Mountaineering Expedition 2025 began as a local training initiative and grew, through collaboration and faith, into a full-fledged mission of determination and unity. Beyond its physical milestones, the campaign has fortified Chhattisgarh’s image at the national level — as a state where the spirit of its youth rises as high as the mountains they conquer.
