Raipur/On the sacred occasion of Amla Navami, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his wife Kaushalya Sai performed a traditional ritual of worshiping the Amla tree at the Chief Minister’s residence, offering prayers for the health, happiness, and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh.
Speaking on the cultural and spiritual significance of the day, Mr. Sai said the Amla tree has long been regarded in Indian tradition as a symbol of divinity and healing power. Amla Navami—also known as Akshaya Navami—he noted, conveys the message of wealth, vitality, and enduring prosperity.
He added that according to ancient belief, partaking of food beneath the Amla tree or consuming its fruit brings health benefits, inner peace, and positive energy.
Appealing to citizens to safeguard India’s natural heritage, the Chief Minister emphasized that “Nature is the foundation of our culture, and trees are the true nourishers of life.” He urged people not only to revere trees but also to ensure their protection and propagation as a shared civic responsibility.
