Orders inquiry by Bilaspur commissioner
Raipur / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the boiler accident at the Vedanta Power Plant in Singhitari, Sakti district, and announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
He said the state government stands firmly with the affected families and has directed officials to ensure immediate relief and free, proper treatment for all the injured, warning that any negligence will not be tolerated.
Terming the incident extremely tragic, the Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Considering the seriousness of the incident, Chief Minister Shri Sai has ordered an inquiry by the Bilaspur Commissioner and directed strict action against those found responsible.
He added that the state government is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that relief and rehabilitation efforts are carried out on priority, with all possible assistance extended to the affected families.
