Raipur, – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met with a delegation of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, at his official residence today. The delegation briefed the Chief Minister about their emotional and patriotic initiative titled ‘Ek Rakhi Sainik Bhaiyon Ke Naam’ (A Rakhi for Our Soldier Brothers), conducted across the state.
The campaign was launched as a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, celebrating the bond of protection by reaching out to soldiers guarding the nation’s borders.
As part of the initiative, handmade rakhis were crafted by Bulbuls, Guides, and Rangers from all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh. These symbolic threads of love and respect are being sent to the soldiers to express heartfelt gratitude and solidarity.
Appreciating the initiative, Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “It is indeed heartening that the children of Chhattisgarh are sending sacred rakhis to the brave jawans guarding our nation’s borders. This campaign will surely foster a strong sense of patriotism among the younger generation while also offering emotional support to our soldiers.”
The meeting was also attended by several prominent personalities from the Scouts & Guides fraternity, including State Chief Commissioner Dr. Somanath Yadav, Smt. Laxmi Verma, Shri Murli Sharma, Shri Kailash Soni, and Shri Sameer Sheikh, among others.
